How do people manage to do everything they want to do? I suspect the answer is, “Well, they don’t,” but I still feel like I’m way behind the curve.

How do you do it?

Tuesday, October 14th, 2008

How do people manage to do everything they want to do? I suspect the answer is, “Well, they don’t,” but I still feel like I’m way behind the curve.

My activities

  • Limedaring (writing): Yes, here. I need to write more, yes? And I actually need to write about design? I have lots of ideas for posts (CSS formatting! I’m particular about my formatting and no one else does it like me) but… they just don’t get written.
  • Limedaring (design): Haaa… yea, this place is still broken. I’ll get excited about fixing something (just got analytics working last week, thanks Mint!) — I’ll work on it for a few hours and then forget about doing everything else. Bah!
  • Veggieblog: Should I just start calling it that? I still don’t have a name, I still don’t have a design finished, and I have three posts in waiting.
  • Listonomics: I have several drafts but none are completed. Grump.
  • Giving 2.0: I have a post about my experiences with Team in Training here, but it’s still in draft form. Grump x2.
  • Yelp: I made Yelp elite… and then the excitement was over. It doesn’t help that I’m low on money so I’m visiting new places less often, but even when I do check out a new coffee shop or deli, I don’t feel as enthused to write a review.
  • Poker Soup The design draft is finished but I haven’t quite started coding. The coding should be the easy part, too.
  • Team In Training: Hey, charity! I managed to raise $2,500 and I’m running a half-marathon (!!!) in a week. This has killed a lot of my time over the last three weeks - running 3-5 miles every other day, long runs every weekend. It’ll all be over on Sunday.
  • Warhammer Online: Erm… look away, nothing to see here. I’m not playing an endless MMORPG really. >_<

Yea, the video-gaming should go first but it’s been great stress relief (except when my laptop kernel-panicks, but that’s another issues). And there are the misc. activities that I like to do that aren’t listed, like cooking, gardening, hiking, etc.

Waaagh, when will I be free? I guess until I don’t have a day job (Ha!) I’ll have to keep trucking along.
